Research shows that rates of learning disability and autism are disproportionately higher in the prison and youth justice population. This workshop will focus on learnings and key themes from a recent CDC independent review of services for children and young people with a learning disability and/or autism in Liaison and Diversion Services and a Young Offenders’ Institute. The workshop will look at examples of good practice and some potential ways to improve services for this vulnerable cohort of children and young people.
