In this workshop we will outline the main findings and recommendations of recent RISE partnership research focusing on the key ingredients for SEND service improvement. This drew on qualitative interviews with SEND professionals across seven local areas. As well as identifying important ingredients for local area improvement, the research offered insights into readiness for change following an intervention (DBOT) and the conditions that impact the extent to which improvement can be sustained and embedded. Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences of improvement and discuss if and how the research findings resonate for them and their organisations/agency settings.
